A while ago, while shopping at a tiny local dollar store, I dropped $100 on the floor and left. I had no idea I dropped it. I walked maybe 100 yards away when the lady working in the store caught up with me, panting, with $100 in her hand. Meanwhile, her store was left unattended.
She spoke with a strong Spanish accent, probably a recent immigrant. I could tell $100 was a small fortune for her. Was a small fortune for me, too!
I should have come back with some gift, never did. My bad.
