With that said: if he was trying to distance himself from Clinton and his sexual indiscretions, he should've had a woman as his running mate. I actually think an interesting choice might've been former Texas Governor Ann Richards. Yes, she lost the governorship to Gore's opponent George W. Bush and yes – contrary to my first paragraph – she would've totally outshone Gore. She would've, however, brought way more energy to the ticket than Lieberman did.
