One of my high school teachers was fired and students were planning to protest. My mother taught at the elementary school and told me whatever I did, to not get involved, which I had no plans of doing because I thought he was jerk. I wasn't one of his favorites nor was he one of mine.
A few days later the reason became public, he had stolen most of the proceeds from a fundraiser from a student club I was a member of.
