When I confessed to someone that I didn't start dating until I was 27.
“What?? You poor thing! You must have so many unfulfilled needs! Why didn't your parents do their job and get you married sooner? You can't be choosy anymore, just say yes and adjust later.”
Um. RUDE. I didn't start dating sooner because I honestly didn't crave that kind of companionship. And blaming the parents is just so…ugh!
