I had a Chihuahua called Scrappy. He had little man syndrome and was an unpleasant little thing. He didnt really like anybody.
My mum lived around the corner from me and used to mind my kids at my house when i was at work.
Her dad had been ill and died after a long illness. On the day he died, Scrappy decided to walk my mum home. He had never done that before. He escorted her around the corner and came home after he saw her go inside.
He did this every night for a week. As soon as she stood up he waited at the door to go with her.
Then he started to go inside her house. He would stay a while and when he wanted to come home he would go to her door. She would call me to tell me he was on his way back.
This went on for a few weeks untill he stopped wanting to come home at all. So then I would go and collect him after a few hours.
One night he was in my mums when suddenly, he went to her stairs and was staring to the top at the bedroom. He barked and barked as though he was barking at someone. It freaked my mum out. She called me to tell me what he was doing and to go get him. When I got there he was still barking, fixated on the bedroom door. It was really strange! I had to pick him up and carry him home.
That was the last night he took my mum home.
