One of my friends got me a stick of lip balm when he got back from France.
I didn’t even say anything about my lips being chapped. I’ve always worn hoodies or sweaters in winter (even in school, because even though my school has a uniform they allow us to wear plain jackets or etc. when it gets cold), and I’ve always ended up covering my mouth to warm up my hands.
At the time, we weren’t especially close. I had known him for about a month.
He gave it to me in a very straightforward manner.
“Here. It’s for you. You like lemon, right?”
(This is true. I don’t know how he managed to guess that. Maybe I bought a packet of lemon Strepsils instead of the strawberry ones.)
I use it all the time, and that lip balm is the most effective thing I’ve used in a while.
