How does todays American conservatism compare to conservatism 60 years ago?

60 years ago, it was about suppressing black people and women. Today it's about suppressing black people and women and Hispanics and Muslims. As the number of groups insisting on equal rights and decent treatment has grown, American conservatism has adapted to encompass them in its fear and hatred. It's equal-opportunity xenophobia.  Let nobody say they're afraid of change.
