Why can't protesters just accept that Hillary lost and Donald Trump was elected fairly?

You must live in a different country.

I live in America. We do not all have to support our president. Our right to protest is in the First Amendment to the Constitution. But it is not just our right to protest, it is our duty to protest what we don’t like.

Because rights that are not exercised get lost.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

We have the right to speak and the right to assemble.
