Poverty IS really more of a choice.

We, as a country, chose a system where it’s acceptable for people in some areas to have poor shelter, education and healthcare.

We, as a country, chose a system where it’s acceptable for people to spend more on their own cosmetics than on other people’s food.

We, as a country, chose a system where it’s acceptable to people to be treated differently based on the colour of their skin.

Poverty is a choice. It’s just a choice we made together.
