Taken in March, a few hours before I turned 30. A reminder to keep things simple. :-)
Some of the work I do involves fussing over the tiniest details, styling and designing things to picture-perfection. I had just done five layouts that day, wearing the sort of fashionable clothes and heavy face paint you see on magazines. This candid shot was taken after I got back in my plain top and bare makeup, in between the staged poses I was doing.
There was a brief time in my life when I got caught up in the illusory happiness peddled by the superficial world I inhabited. At 27, I bottomed out and reconnected with what truly mattered.
Life today has never been better. While I can appreciate that everything that happened brought me here, I don't want to forget again.
I chose this because it carries that meaning for me.
