To my American ear it sounds odd and vaguely Russian. The "iy" ending is very non-standard and would make most people stop to think about how it's pronounced. Sherky would sound better, if still rather Russian. Maybe Sherki. Either one would be very unusual, and I don't think anybody would get that it's a mix of Sherlock and Loki.
