Tap into infographics’ viral power in 2017

Did you know infographics are shared 3X more than any other content?

Even more impressive: They can increase your content marketing profits by as much as 12%.

“Cool Infographics” author Randy Krum offers these fast tips to help you add visuals and infographics to your content mix:

1) Visualize your data. Visual information is 650% more likely to be remembered than text alone. The visual should be directly related to data referenced in your text—so include a chart, illustration, photo or icon highlighting your data point whenever possible.

2) Follow the “five second rule.” Audiences want infographics to be quick and easy to read. In fact, they will only spend about five to ten seconds to read an infographic, so focus your content to only tell one story really well within that five seconds.

3) Remove chart legends. Legends are separate from your data visualization and make readers look back and forth to understand it. Move data descriptions into the chart itself whenever possible.

Join us for the Engaging Infographics Virtual Summit, beginning at noon Central time on Jan. 27. Krum and two other top experts will guide you through the processes of creating infographics and getting them in front of the right audience—via social media and the mainstream press.
