This world is full of bigotry towards pedophiles
There. I said it.
Before you get angry with me, I need to say two things.
One: I am not personally a pedophile, nor have interacted with them.
Two: I do not in any way support rape, especially of children.
Now that that is out of the way, consider this. People feel roughly the same way today as they did of homosexual people fifty years ago. There was no option, no understanding. There was only merciless bigotry. While that bigotry was un grounded, people think that they can hate pedophiles with all their heart just because of the way they are.
Raping children is horrible, but you can’t inherently hate someone for the way they are. it isn’t a choice to be a pedophile. I imagine that most pedophiles would rather not have a trait so universally hated.
Another thing to consider is that there is very little help for pedophiles. There is a lot of money going towards punishing them after they are convicted for raping a child, but there is so much hate towards them that the few places where help can be found, which there are very few of, are socially impossible to visit, unless someone might find out.
There is literally nothing wrong with being a pedophile. The problem is that people equate pedophilia with the raping of children. In most cases, pedophiles don’t rape anyone until they are older, and rarely are they strangers to the children.

This means that if you are worried about your child being raped, its more likely for your close family to do it than some stranger. 8 times more likely.
This bigotry is towards people that can not change how they are, and are too afraid to go for help. This bigotry is towards people who haven’t even done anything yet. This bigotry is impossible to talk about without people screaming at you.
