What kind of people really annoy you?

Hypocritical Liberals.

That is, people who advocate social policies that they themselves will not be affected by. This includes:

• People who want to raise income taxes, although they themselves pay little or no income taxes. Either because they have low-wage jobs, or they make their money in other ways that aren’t taxed as heavily.
• People who advocate forced diversity programs, like school bussing, but they themselves live in non-diverse areas, and would never even consider letting their children go to a school with a large population of students of a different race.
• People who preach about the ills of pollution, while living high-carbon lifestyles. Celebrities fall into this category.
• People who complain about big, “evil” corporations, yet still buy those corporations’ products and sometimes even work for them.
• People who give big corporations a pass on the “evil” part, if that corporation makes a trendy product that they like, such as Apple or Starbucks.
• People who think that punishing the wealthy will somehow improve the lives of the poor.
• People whose entire political views are based on envy. Other people have better things, and that’s not fair, so time to bring them down a notch, right?
• People who think that signing an online petition, or “liking” a certain status, has any impact at all in the real world.

But what about hypocritical Conservatives, you ask? The truth is, because I live in a very Liberal city, I don’t encounter many Conservatives. I’m sure they have their hypocrites too. People who preach “family values” while cheating on their spouses are easy to find. But those hypocrisies don’t affect me personally. If someone wants to say they support traditional marriages, then swap wives with someone else in their free time, what difference does it make to me? The policies they preach wouldn’t affect me, even if they were put into place. But liberal policies impact everyone, because they usually include some degree of forced participation.
