Wow.
You just probably presented the ultimate paradox.
That’s like saying “this statement is false.”
His nose can’t grow because his nose only grows when he tells a lie. Yet the lie he told would be true statement by virtue of the fact that his nose grows after he says it. So it’s no longer a lie, and it would retract, and then start to grow, and then retract again. And he would never gain any inches on his nose, nor lose any.
Step One: “My nose will now grow.”
Step Two: the magic hears the statement and starts to grow, but then would retract back at seeing that what he said was a truthful statement.
Step Three: now the statement becomes a lie again because his nose did not actually grow.
Step Four: so his nose starts to grow again because what he said is now a lie.
Step Five: but NOW what he said is true since his nose is growing. So it retracts.
And around and around and around we go. His nose never gets bigger or smaller because he has said a complete paradox.
