Amazing Mind-Blowing Facts: What is the most unlikely story that is actually true?

I was sitting at the back of an English Language class in Tokyo (population 38M+) when a young Japanese man sat down next to me. Wanting to practice his English, he asked me where I was from.  I said I was from America.  He asked which state.  I said I was from Utah.  He asked where in Utah.  I looked at him and said "I'm from Randolph, Utah."  Randolph has a population of less than 500 people.  It's a bit off the beaten path.

He said "Oh.  I've been there."

I was so startled I replied "You lie!" in Japanese.

He laughed and told me he had gone to a neighboring high school as a foreign exchange student.  When his school played my school in football, he had visited my home town.  He knew several of my cousins that went to his school.

Small world.
