Because school, especially university, is supposed to be about learning, and expanding your comfort zone. Lots of things make people uncomfortable. Learning how to deal with uncomfortable situations is part of being an adult.
Your feelings of victimhood are just that… feelings. You need to be able to work through them, overcome them, and address them. Not avoid them.
