How much data is shared online every minute?

It’s hard to fathom the amount of data that we create every day with our all of our devices and our devotions to social media platforms.

A new infographic from Domo pinpoints the exact amount of online content that we create every minute.

For instance, consider that every minute:

  • Netflix subscribers stream nearly 87,000 hours of video.
  • Snapchat users watch 6.9 million videos.
  • Americans alone use 18.2 megabytes of wireless data.
  • YouTube users share 500 hours of new video.

That’s truly staggering when you think about it, especially considering that in 2010, people were surprised to learn that YouTube users were uploading a puny 35 hours of video each minute.

The latest Domo research “revealed an exponential rise in multimedia messaging, and a continued increase in consumption of video content,” according to a company blog post.

Domo also released an infographic titled “Data Never Sleeps.” Check it out below.
