What are some comfort zone challenges?

1. Practice saying, "No, I'd rather not." for ten days straight.  Each time you are asked to do something that you are not  absolutely excited about doing say, "No, I'd rather not."
Be polite, but it is important that you offer no other explanation. For most people this is more difficult than it sounds. Of course, if someone really needs help, by all means please help as you are able.

2. For another week to ten days, give five  strangers per day a very sincere compliment. At least two must be of the strangers must be of the opposite gender and at least two of the same gender as you.  It is not enough to say, "You are wearing a nice dress." You must also tell the person how the the thing upon which you are complimenting adds joy to your day.
For example, "Excuse me. I must give you a compliment. Your smile is so beautiful and it made me happy, because it reminded me of my favorite teacher in 1st grade."

Both  tasks are simple and for so many people so very difficult.

Each time pay attention to any discomfort that comes up for you and practice breathing and releasing the tension. After about the fourth day, you should notice that this eases up dramatically.

Let us know how it works out for you!
